Nadav brings deep R&D and cybersecurity expertise to his role at YL Ventures. As CTO, he works closely with portfolio companies during their earliest stages, guiding ideation, refining product development, and helping founders build technologies that solve real and urgent security challenges.
His role extends beyond product support. Nadav is deeply involved in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities, conducting technical due diligence, and researching emerging sectors across the cybersecurity landscape. His perspective is shaped by years spent inside startups, where he saw firsthand how quickly assumptions get tested and how critical adaptability becomes when building under pressure.
For Nadav, partnership with founders is not about handing down answers but about working together to navigate hard questions. He thrives on solving problems he’s never faced before, helping teams think through complex challenges, and ensuring innovation moves forward without losing sight of execution.
Nadav’s career spans 15 years leading R&D teams in some of cybersecurity’s most successful startups. As SVP of R&D and General Manager for YL Ventures’ unicorn, Axonius, he helped shape the company from its earliest days into a global category leader. At Bionic, he scaled the R&D organization during a critical growth phase, strengthening the company’s technical direction and delivery. Earlier, at Cymmetria, he gained valuable insights into how small teams drive big impact.
Before entering the private sector, Nadav served in Unit 8200, Israel’s elite intelligence unit, where he worked as a researcher and developer and rose to the rank of Captain. That experience shaped his analytical approach and his ability to lead under pressure, both of which continue to guide how he supports founders today.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University and continues to advise several cybersecurity and R&D analytics startups, where his focus remains on helping cutting-edge teams bring ambitious ideas to life.
