Marketing isn’t the goal. It’s a tool I use to help our founders and firm build visibility, credibility and market leadership.
Merav leads marketing at YL Ventures, guiding how the firm communicates with the global cybersecurity ecosystem and how its founders earn attention in a crowded, skeptical market. Since joining in 2021, she has helped develop the firm’s voice, guided its content strategy and translated complex cybersecurity innovation into messaging that resonates with buyers, investors and strategic partners.
She spent four years leading content and messaging while supporting PR outreach for the firm and its portfolio, including shaping how YL Ventures presents itself to the market and how its founders communicate the value of what they’re building. That work solidified her belief that effective marketing begins with clarity, not noise. It also laid the foundation for her transition into a leadership role, where she now directs a team of specialists focused on amplifying the firm’s presence and strengthening the positioning of early stage companies.
Her focus is on helping early-stage cybersecurity startups move from raw ambition to credible presence, and on strengthening the firm’s position in a competitive, global ecosystem. Her work has placed YL Ventures' founders and partners in leading cybersecurity publications, expanding their influence while ensuring that the stories worth telling reach the people who need to hear them.
Merav grew up across Israel, Liberia, Germany, China and the United States. That experience shaped her ability to adapt quickly, read a room and make careful decisions about when to speak and when to listen. These instincts continue to guide how she approaches communication and strategy.
Before joining YL Ventures, she spent a decade in Israeli public service, working in customer-facing and external relations roles at the Ministry of Defense, the Israeli Atomic Energy Commission and Israel’s Mission to the United Nations. These were high-stakes environments where precision mattered and timing shaped outcomes. At YL Ventures, she draws on that foundation to lead marketing with discipline and intent, helping the firm and its founders communicate with clarity, purpose and credibility from day one.
